Etiquette
Before Class
-
Please arrive at least fifteen minutes before your scheduled class to get changed, sign in, take a sip of water, and settle in.
-
We encourage you to sign in for classes online to secure your spot. We would hate to turn you away after you’ve made your way to the studio just because a class is full.
-
Please refrain from using a mobile device at the studio.
-
Please keep your voices low so as not to disturb ongoing classes or meditation.
-
Please clean up after yourself: return mats and props neatly to their proper places, ready for use by the next set of students.
-
Please familiarize yourself with the studio’s cancellation and class-expiration policies. They will be strictly enforced.
-
Please leave your shoes in the designated area by the entryway. Classes are practiced barefoot or in socks, and no shoes are allowed beyond the studio staircase.
-
Pilates and yoga should not be practiced on a full stomach, and you will do better if you arrive to class well hydrated.
-
Please refrain from using strongly scented products in the studio.
-
Classes begin promptly and latecomers will be admitted in exceptional cases only.
-
If you need to leave early, please inform the teacher beforehand, set up your mat close to the door, and leave quietly, causing the least disruption possible.
-
Please turn off your phones.
-
If you are new to the practice or studio, or if you are dealing with an injury or any other limitation, please advise the teacher before the beginning of class.
-
If you do not wish to receive any hands-on adjustments during class, please let the teacher know beforehand.
-
Please be mindful of your fellow students.
-
Respect your body: challenge yourself, but go at your own pace and rest if you need to.
